Merry Christmas, almost, to everyone.
Its been busy lately. Ashton is enjoying going to preschool. He goes
Tuesday through Friday, 6 hours a day. He has been learning his letters, and numbers. His teachers are very sweet and love teaching the kids. We lucked out with this school. He will be off from school soon, for about a week. Luckily we ALL have off for Christmas!! Sunday is my only day off, and Michelle is off for Christmas. Next year he will be going to 10th Street elementary for Kindergarten. It is supposed to be a great school. So I am hoping it will be.
Ashton just recently started taking Karate. It was my mom's idea. I was so happy, because I really wanted to get Ashton involved in something. He has only had one private intro lesson, but seems to love it. I had to miss it, because I worked =(, but my mom got a great video. From now on I should be able to take him to his classes on Tuesday nights. These classes will be 1-2 days a week with other children.
Its been a busy month, but we have been able to enjoy this Christmas. We went to light up night in down town with our close friend and his daughter. Light up night in down town isn't what it used to be. It really has turned into a ghetto place where you have to watch yourself and cover your kids' ears. Oh well. The fire works were amazing!! We also went to a light up night in Murrysville where Ash got to see Santa for the first time this year. Oakmont, where we live, also had a light up night. It was really nice, with a parade and everything. Than this Friday we went to Hartwood Acres to see the lights. We also got our first tree for our new place. Its a fake tree, due to Ashton's allergies. Its nice. We also have a train under it from Michelle's grandma who passed away this year. Than we got a small one for Ash's room. He really wanted a little tree for his room.
Michelle is still working at the Village Inn near our house. It is a great place to work. Her boss is so caring and nice. Michelle has been helping him to promote more business lately. That is her mission right now. She now wants change her major to Occupational Therapy to help with special needs kids. That is put on hold until things slow down a little bit.
I am still working at Sheetz, and I started a new job as a home health aide. I mainly work while Ash is in school, which is great. I love my new job. Taking care of older people. I help them to clean and to care for themselves. The ladies I take care of are SO nice. It doesn't even feel like work to me. I am in the process of trying to get back into nursing school again. Easier said than done. I decided to become an LPN, and than an RN. Each one takes one year to complete. My mom ended up doing that after RN school didn't work out for her. She says that it was really nice going to LPN school. Very nourishing and helpful. So we shall hope, wish, and see if all will work out this year.
My cousin Annie in California has a seven year old little girl. She was just diagnosed with a brain tumor around thanksgiving. They removed the whole tumor, but it was found to be malignant. She is now at St Judes receiving radiation and chemo for about ten months. Luckily it is an amazing place and free. Annie blogs about it daily, with pictures. So that is very reassuring. They luckily have many many supporters and people in their community donating money. As both parents are with their daughter right now, and not working. Anyways, if any one loves to pray her name is Kayla Rose. http://kaylarose415.blogspot.com/
Other than that. I can not think of anything. I do have to say I am very thankful that Ash has been doing so well. The last couple years, Ash has high temperatures of 104 just about every week. Since being on allergy medicine daily, and taking his inhaler twice daily, he has been fever free for probably over a year! That makes us very happy. Now if only we could find something to fix the daily talking back and attitudes. haha. He is deff. my child.
Love to all, and hope everything is going great!!!
